WHAT’S YOUR BEEF IN THE CLASSROOM?

PURPOSE
What’s Your BEEF in the Classroom? is a grant program administered by the Washington CattleWomen for junior and senior high school Agriculture, Culinary Science, Consumer Science, and Consumer & Family courses. The grants are funded by Washington beef farmers and ranchers through their Beef Checkoff dollars administered by the Washington Beef Commission. This program provides financial support for the purchase of lean beef for use in classrooms and lessons about selection, storage, preparation and nutrition. These funds are to be used in classroom activities only.
This program is limited to $100 per teacher for the 2023-2024 school year. It is a reimbursement program available for Washington teachers and classrooms only.
APPLICATION -
FORM 1 –- “Application for Beef Grant”. Fill out the form below: Beef Grant Program prior to purchasing beef.
Return the completed form by hitting “Submit”. It will automatically go to the administrator of the program.
Washington CattleWomen will contact you by email if you are approved for the Grant and will mail FORM 2 – “Reimbursement Request and Evaluation” to you.
Purchase lean beef and keep original receipts for submittal.
FORM 2 – “Reimbursement Request and Evaluation” will be mailed to you upon acceptance into the Grant program. To receive your reimbursement, mail completed Form 2, original receipts for beef purchases relating to the grant, a copy of your recipe(s), photos of your beef lesson in action and the finished product.
REIMBURSEMENT -
Once all forms are received, a check will be sent reimbursing the amount up to $100. Forms and receipts can be sent any time during the year before May 15, 2024. No applications will be accepted after that date.

Submit Form 2 – Reimbursement Request and Evaluation and return to Washington CattleWomen, 8381 Lyons Road, Ellensburg, WA 98926 or email to: washingtoncattlewomen@gmail.com no later than May 15, 2024
Remember you must provide original receipts.
